Why Create OCE?
What We Represent
“We are a school with teachers from more than 30+ countries and are always welcoming more. We value diversity and we do not follow the “you need to be a native speaker to teach English” paradigm. We would like your help to change this mindset.
We also genuinely want the students to improve and we are looking for teachers who will give students feedback and corrections to help them improve their English.”

Why We Do It
Japan is experiencing an international disaster where people still cannot speak English despite spending 6 years learning the language. Rather than complaining or being pessimistic about the problem, we wanted to make a change and motivate others to help us to do it.Building Confidence
Step 1: We will overcome the confidence barrier with an international team of role-models who have achieved fluency in English.
Step 2: We need teachers who will challenge students by correcting their mistakes, giving them second chances, and giving tips and advice on how to improve their English. A student will not realize their capability if they do not have a coach to show them what they can achieve.

Step 3: Provide opportunities to use English outside of school. We currently have monthly events for students to meet foreigners and we also send students abroad to study English.
Step 4: Our prices are set so students can afford to come more than once a week. Learning English involves 1000s of hours of effort and we are trying to make this a reality.
Pop Up – Raising Fluency 2How We Do It
We have increased the amount of Japanese English speakers by providing English lessons at a price anyone can afford and NOT tying students down to long-term contracts they may regret later To achieve diversity, we actively set out to hire non-native teachers and around 70% or more of our teachers are non-native speakers. We also tell students who only want native speakers that diversity is one of our missions and we cannot meet their needs. Pop Up – Raising DiversityDo You Agree with Us?
