ドイツの大学で日本学と英語学・言語学を学びました。学士論文を提出後、日本に来ることを決意しました。 在学中は、ホテルでの朝食サービス、アパレル店での販売、家庭教師など、さまざまなアルバイトを経験しました。その中でも、人に新しいことを教えることに特にやりがいを感じ、家庭教師の仕事が一番楽しかったです。この経験が、教育の道を目指すきっかけになりました。
