Abi’s Testimony

Hi everyone, I’m Abi, and I’m from the Philippines. I started working in OCE as a part-time teacher in February 2015 when the school only had one branch in Shinjuku and we were still sharing a space with a Korean school in Yokohama. Now, we have seven schools and we’re still growing! After almost 4 years, I still enjoy coming to work every day because I love meeting and working with people of different nationalities. Before coming to Japan, I never imagined working in such an international environment, but now some of my closest friends are from all over the world. I love how OCE welcomes talented individuals regardless of their nationalities, appearances, or genders. Our students are also unique, as a lot of them are very open-minded and adventurous. OCE becomes a gateway for students who are very interested in different cultures and are eager to learn English. We also give an opportunity for Japanese students to see that English is widely spoken in different countries all over the world!

Life in Kichijoji

Perfect Getaway

Come and teach part-time in the hip and artsy part of Tokyo. Located 15 to 20 minutes from both Shinjuku and Shibuya, The town is a paradise for people who like to enjoy art, crafts, nice cafes, and nature. Like many of the locations of our schools, Kichijoji is famous for having many things to do. Before coming to work, you can have a picnic in the beautiful Inokashira Park, visit the peaceful Kosen-Ji temple, see cute animals at the Inokashira Zoo, or wander in the famous Sunroad Shopping Street where you can play in the arcades and buy some trendy clothes.
