ワンコイングリッシュに参加する前は、東京の日本語学校で語学を学んでいました。歴史学の学士号と国際関係学の修士号を取得しています。日本に来る前は、研究生として働いていましたし、NGOでボランティアとして英語を教えていました。また、日本に来る前の約2年間、日本語を学んでいました。

私は昔から日本の文化が大好きでした。私が9歳のとき、国内の政治的混乱により、私の住む州では国内のケーブルチャンネルが禁止されました。その代わりに、ケーブル会社が日本、韓国、香港などのチャンネルを放送するようになったのです。日本のドキュメンタリーや番組、ドラマを見ているうちに、日本の文化が好きになりました。その時、日本語を学ぶだけでなく、日本に行って日本の文化や芸術、文学をもっと知りたいと思うようになりました。

Hello everyone. I am Kii and I am from India. I am from the state of Assam in the northeastern part of India which is famous for its tea called "Assam Tea". Assam is the largest producer of tea in the world and "Assam Tea" is very famous in Britain and Europe. There are almost 800 tea plantations in Assam. My backyard back home is a tea garden! Since India is the land of various cultures with more than 1600 spoken languages, I understand cultural differences very quickly and know how to overcome cultural barriers. Fun fact: I speak to my mother and father in different languages because both my parents are from different cultures where the race and language are completely different. So I have not one but two mother/native languages. I came to Japan in 2018 as a Japanese language student. My goal as a teacher is to help you not just to learn English but also to be confident while speaking it. I am cheerful, optimistic, gregarious, patient and kind and I will gladly answer all your questions and clear any doubts that you have. Please feel free to ask me anything. In this journey of learning English, let's do our best together. After all, team work makes the dream work ^^
